MAT set to upgrade fleet with Embraer E-Jets

MAT Macedonian Airlines will introduce the first of three Embraer E-Jets before the end of the year as it moves to upgrade its fleet. The airline has signed for one E-170 for delivery this year and two E-175s for delivery in 2006. The first, a three-year-old former E-170 development aircraft, is being prepared for delivery in Brazil. MAT operates two Boeing 737-300s, one leased from Serbia’s JAT Airways, but is to terminate its co-operation agreement with JAT and return the 737.
