Lufthansa Technik bids for BBJ cabins

Hamburg-based completions specialist Lufthansa Technik (booth 2253) today launched its Leadership Select concept for Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) modular cabins.

Aimed at BBJ operators looking to combine in-flight luxury at a comparatively reasonable price, the Leadership Select package allows the customer to customize an interior from a combination of pre-defined components. Access to a substantial pool of pre-selected materials – leather, suede, fabrics – and a large color palette ensures that effectively every interior will be unique.

“Our objective in developing Leadership Select was to give our customers a clearly defined framework covering price, design, availability and technical support,” said LHT chairman August Henningsen. “We also wanted to offer a variety of options so that the aircraft meets the specific needs of operators and has a unique individual touch.”

Floorplan options available for use in various combinations include a galley, security and crew rest area, VIP room, bedroom, washroom with or without shower, executive lounge with divan or single seats, and a rear economy/business-class section. Available cabin systems offer in-flight entertainment, satellite communications, wireless LAN and in-flight television.

LHT is an authorized BBJ completion center and is working on its 18th example of the type, to be operated by Vizavi Aviation on behalf of a Russian owner.
